ALL THINGS WILL DIE another poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson (Menepati janji saya pada posting yang lalu)

Seperti saya katakan sebelumnya di postingan saya terdahulu dalam puisi Alfred Lord Tennyson yang berjudul "NOTHING WILL DIE" maka kali ini judul puisi beliau adalah "ALL THINGS WILL DIE". Kontradiksi bukan?

ALL THINGS WILL DIE

Clearly the blue river chimes in its following
Under my eye;
Warmly and broadly the south winds are blowing
Over the skiy
One after another the white cloud are fleeting;
Every heart this may morning in joyance is beating
Full merrily;
Yet all things must die,
The stream will cease to flow;
The wind will cease to blow;
The clouds will cease to fleet;
The heart will cease to beat;
For all things must die,

All things must dye,
Spring will come never more,
Oh! vanity!
Death waits at the door,
See! our friends are all forsaking
The wind and the merry-making,
We are called--we must go,
Laid low, very low,
In the dark we must lie'
The merry glees are still;
The voice of the bird
Shall no more be heard,
No the wind on the hill'
Oh! misery!
Hark! death is calling
While I speak to ye,
The jaw is falling,
the red cheek paling,
The strong limbs failing;
Ice with the warm blood mixing;
The eyeballs fixing,
Nine times goes the passing bell;
Ye merry soul, farewell,
The old earth
Had a birth,
As all men know,
Long ago,

And the old earth must dye,
So let the warm wind range,
And the blue wave beat the shore;
For even and morn
Ye will never see
Through eternity,
All things were born,
Ye will come never more,
For all things must dye

AT THE DOOR"..ihhh seram, belum siap..masih banyak dosa..

Nothing Will Die (a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson)

When will the stream be aweary of flowing
Under my eye?
When will the wind be aweary of blowing
Over the sky?
When will the clouds be aweary of fleeting?
When will the heart be aweary of beating?
And nature die?
Never, Oh ! never, nothing will die;
The stream flows,
The wind blows,
The cloud fleets,
The heart beats,
Nothing will die,

Nothing will die;
All things will change
Through eternity
'Tis the world's winter;
Autumn and summer
Are gone long ago;
Earth is dry to the center,
But spring, a new comer,
A spring rich ang strange,
Shall make the winds blow
Round and round,
Through and through,
Here and there,
Till the air
And the ground
Shall be filled with life a new,

The world was never made;
It will change, but it will not fade,
So let the wind range;
For even and morn
Ever will be
Through eternity,
Nothing was born;
Nothing will die;
All things will changee,

Kutaklukan diriku

Kurasa sulit menaklukan diriku sendiri
Kadang ku tak mengenal siapa aku
kadang kubingung dengan apa mauku
kadang rasa bosan teramat sangat menyerang
Tanpa kutahu apa sebabnya
Sedih dan senang datang begitu saja
Tanpa permisi
mengobrak-abrik jantungku
Tanpa perasaan
Mempermainkan suasana hatiku
Tanpa ragu
Meluluh-lantakkan aku
Tanpa bisa kukendalikan
Menaklukkan seisi dunia
Tak menjadikanku pemenang
Menaklukkan diriku
Barulah kujadi pemenang

Aku terlalu bahagia

Aku terlalu bahagia
Sampai kurasa kubisa membuat matahari menunggu
Aku terlalu bahagia
Sampai kurasa kubisa membuat hujan berhenti
Aku terlalu bahagia
Sampai kurasa kubisa taklukan badai
Aku terlalu bahagia
Sampai kurasa kubisa daki gunung hingga ke puncak
Aku terlalu bahagia
Sampai kurasa kubisa lelehkan es di kutub selatan
Aku terlalu bahagia
Sampai kurasa kubisa arungi tujuh samudera
Aku terlalu bahagia
Kampai kurasa kubisa lompati masa
Aku terlalu bahagia
Sampai kurasa kubisa capai semua yang kumau
Aku sadar sesungguhnya ku tak mampu lakukan semua itu
Aku sadar diriku lemah
Tapi
Aku terlalu bahagia
Aku terlalu bahagia

PUISI : TO QUEEN VICTORIA (The poem of Tennyson)

Ya udah ga pake lama-lama langsung aja saya kasih nih :

TO QUEEN VICTORIA

Revered, beloved-O you that hold
A Nobler office upon earth
Than arms, or power of brain, or birth
Could give the warrior king of old

Victoria,-since your Royal grace
To one of less desert allows
This laurel greener from the brows
Of him that uttered nothing base;

And should your greatness, and the care
That yokes with empure, yield you time
To make demand of modern rhyme
If aught of ancient worth be there;

Then –while a sweeter music wakes,
And through wild March the throstle calls,
Where all about your palace walls
The sunlit almond-blossom shakes-

Take, Madam, this poor book of song;
For though the faulths were thick as dust
In vacant chambers, I could trust
Your kindness. May you rule us long

And leave us rulers of your blood
As noble to the latest day!
May children of our children say,
“she wrought her people lasting good;

“her court was pure; her life serene;
God gave her peace; her land reposed;
A thousand claims to reverence closed
In her as Mother, Wife, and Queen;

“and statesmen at her council met
Who knew the seasons when to take
Occasion by the hand, and make
The bounds of freedom wider yet

“by shaping some august decree,
Which kept her throne unshaken still,
Broad-based upon her people’s will,
And compassed by the inviolate sea”
March 1851

OK enough for today. tomorrow I'll be back with other poem.
